The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the SSC GD exam annually to select candidates for the General Duty Constable positions in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, SSF, and NCB.     No, The SSC GD notification has been released for both male and female candidates. Out of 39481 candidates 35612 posts are announced for male candidates and the remaining 3869 candidates are reserved for female candidates.
  • Is SSC GD a permanent job?
    Yes, The candidates selected through the SSC GD exam will be appointed in Indian military forces, Assam Rifles, SSF and NCB and these forces come under the central government. The posts that come under the Central Government are permanent.

How to Apply for the SSC GD 2024-25 Exam?

  1. Go to the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in.
  2. Once on the homepage, navigate to the "Apply" section and click on the "Apply" link.
  3. If you're a new user, you need to register yourself.
  4. Provide details such as your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
  5. Upon successful registration, you'll receive a Registration ID and password. Note them down for future use.
  6. Use your Registration ID and password to log in. Find the link for the SSC GD 2024-25 Exam and click on "Apply".
  7. Fill in details like name, father's name, mother's name, category, gender, nationality, etc.
  8. Enter your educational details such as the name of the school/college, board/university, marks obtained, etc.

Candidates applying for GD Constable (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, and riflemen) must have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

SSC GD Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025)

Candidate is required to be between 18 to 23 years in order to be eligible for the SSC GD 2024-25 Exam. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2002 and later than 01-01-2007. Age relaxation is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government rules.

  • What is the qualification of SSC GD?
    A 10th-pass candidate from a recognized Board/ University is eligible for the SSC GD Constable Exam.
  • What is the SSC GD physical test?
    SSC GD physical test is conducted to evaluate candidates' physical capabilities. It consists of two stages: the Physical Endurance Test and the Physical Standard Test. After passing this round they will go through a medical test.
  • Is SSC GD a good job?
    SSC GD is a good career option for 10th-pass candidates who want to be part of any defence force and the salary of an SSC GD constable is quite high.
     

SSC GD Constable 2024-25 Selection Process

The entire recruitment process of SSC GD 2024-25 will be completed in four stages: Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and at the last the Medical Test. The candidates will be shortlisted for SSC GD Constable posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau. through the following stages-

Stage 1- Written examination (Computer Based)

Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Stage 3- Physical Standard Test (PST)

Stage 4- Medical Test

After the medical test, the candidates shortlisted will have to appear for document verification.

SSC GD 2024-25 Exam Pattern

For Computer-Based Examination

As per the SSC GD notification 2024-25 pdf, the computer-based examination will be of 160 marks consisting of 80 questions. There will be 4 sections in the online exam to be attempted in 60 minutes. 0.25 marks will be deducted when a question is attempted wrong. There will be no penalty if the question is left unanswered.   • What is the negative marking for SSC GD 2024-25 Exam?
    For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  • Is there any negative marking for unanswered question?
    No, there will be no marks deduction for blank/unanswered question.

SSC GD 2024-25 Result

SSC GD Results will be declared separately for Physical Test/Medical Test, Written Test and Computer Proficiency Test. Candidates can check their results after the exam has been conducted. The dates for the declaration of the result will be notified soon by the Staff Selection Commission of India.
